Please be informed that the Government has made an announcement of the introduction of the Malaysia Tourism Tax (MyTTx) which will be implemented on 1st of September 2017.
The Tourism tax is set with a flat rate of RM 10 per room per night. Non-Malaysian or Foreign tourists will be charged for all hotel and resort classifications. Malaysians and permanent residents will be exempted from paying the tax. The Tourism Tax will be collected directly from all foreign guests at the hotel/resort on behalf of Royal Malaysian Customs.
Kindly announce this to all of your current clients (booking for September 2017 onward) and future bookings. Please make an effort to add this term to all of the promotion sites, web sites and pages under package prices on your end.
